wow, it's nice to have some good inspiring reading instead of getting on facebook as usual and reading silly daily comments about people's lives...
i want to carry the cross but as everyone says, it's a daily battle with "comfort" vs narrow rd to jesus. at least it has people i sit with and have conversations with talking about the bible and christ for a change...i'm proud of wearing my not a fan tshirt...but still working daily on not being a fan

Kyle,

I am very confused by your pursuit for Jesus. When you say that you need to take up your cross and follow him what exactly are you saying? What do you need to do? We all go out into the secular world each and every day. Should we correct people when they cuss and lead a sinful life? Is that what you mean when you say that we won't be popular anymore? Before I became a Christian, I would always ask myself what Christians had that I did not. I think that it was their ability to be kind, loving and accepting to all. Please help me because I am so confused.
Thanks.

I want to have this inspiration. I want to feel passion and pursue Jesus. But it's really hard for me Kyle to go the extra step and step outside the fanzone. I can't see him. I can't hug him. I'm not even doing a really good job of guessing his purpose for me.

I have to say, that for me as a christian wife, I long more to see my husband passionately pursue Christ than to see him passionately pursuing me.

Thank you Kyle for sharing this.
Pursuing with no fear, for the one you love.

At last week sunday May 17th. After I listened to your sermon.
I decided to get baptize. So I was baptized after the sermon.
I was ready. I want to get close to God.
I want to Knock on his door.

Then monday the 18th I keep thinking what can I do to get more close to God.
I ate a corn dog for lunch, and couple pieces toast for dinner.
I used to eat a lot, but dont know why that day just dont feel like eatting.
and it reminded me that a friend had told me. When you fast, you spend your time to read the bible, to pray.
So I decided to fast for 4 days. Only drinks. and its my first time to fast.
I had no fear.
Monday night until Saturday morning.
I Start to reading the bible for hours at night and praying day and night.
I learn a lot more, and I tell you all this time there was not a minutes I feel hungry.
I dont feel tired. I stay awake in class, I was full of energy to study.

I here to ask if anyone decided to fast.
Save up the money that is going to spend on food.
Donate the money to the poor, Pray for the poor.
Or go buy food for the homeless you see on the street.
You can donate to the Orphans/homeless.
In Liberia, $30 dollars can feed a orphan for 1 month.

Read Isaiah 58. You will understand.

What an awesome story. I heard Matt share that at Northside a few weeks ago. Actually, I think I saw you at the 11 am service that weekend. I love the passage you talked about in this video. It is so easy to say, but so hard to do. Here is a quote you might like about this, "The cross is easier to him who takes it up than to him who drags it along." God bless you and your family Kyle.
